What matters is not the wall itself but its surface. The adhesive needs it smooth, sealed, clean and dry.

Not sure? Run a quick test. Draw a finger across the surface: if you feel texture or pick up dust, the adhesive will not hold for long. In that case suction cups or a screwed mount are the better choice.

1. Clean the surface – wipe it with glass cleaner or surgical spirit and let it dry completely. It has to be free of dust and grease. Avoid cleaners containing oil, wax or silicone – they leave a film nothing sticks to.
2. Peel off the film and place – peel the backing film off carefully and set the mount on the clean, dry wall where you want it. Mark the position first; a second attempt costs adhesive strength.
3. Press down firmly – press across the whole clear plate and work from the centre outwards so the trapped air escapes.
4. Let it cure for 12 hours – only then hang the sign. The adhesive does not reach full strength straight away – load it too early and you lose that strength for good.

Tip: keep all four mounts on one line. A mount sitting two millimetres out will later carry noticeably more than the other three.

The adhesive mount is a drill-free solution – not a replacement for a plugged wall mount. It holds reliably as long as the conditions are right. So that it lasts:

• The surface must be smooth, sealed, clean, dry and grease-free. On wallpaper, plaster, texture or damp surfaces the adhesive will not hold – please choose a different mount there.
• Use all four mounts and line them up evenly. With fewer points the load does not spread properly.
• Respect the curing time. Full strength after 12 hours. Load it earlier and you weaken the bond without noticing.
• Once set, leave it set. A mount that has been peeled off and pressed on again never reaches its original hold.
• Check the fit regularly. Temperature changes, sunlight and humidity act on every adhesive.
• Do not mount above beds, seating, glass tables or delicate objects. For permanently heavy loads and safety-critical positions, the screwed mount is the one to use.

Do I have to drill for the adhesive mounts?
No. The mounts are stuck on. You need neither a drill nor wall plugs – just a clean, smooth surface.

Which surfaces do the adhesive mounts hold on?
On glass, mirrors, tiles, metal, smooth plastic and smooth wood as well as varnished and smoothly painted walls. Not suitable are wallpaper, woodchip, lime plaster, brick, bare concrete and textured or damp surfaces.

How big are the mounts?
The adhesive area measures 8 × 8 cm (3 × 3") and the hook stands 8 mm (5/16") off the wall. One set contains four of them.

Can the adhesive mounts be removed without a trace?
Yes. The adhesive is designed to peel off again without leaving marks. Pull the mount away slowly and flat against the wall rather than sharply forwards.

How long does the adhesive need to cure?
12 hours. Only then hang the sign. Before that the adhesive has not reached its full strength.

Can I reposition a mount afterwards?
Technically yes, but the hold will be weaker. So mark the position first and set each mount only once.

What sign sizes is the set suitable for?
The four mounts spread the load across four points. What matters is less the size of the sign than the surface: on glass or tiles they carry considerably more than on painted wall. For large, heavy signs we recommend the screwed mount.
