Go by the longest edge of your sign. If you no longer have the size to hand, you will find it in the product description of your sign.

Both versions have the same 5 mm (3/16") thread and therefore fit the same mounting points. The only difference is the contact surface.

When in doubt, take the larger version. If your sign sits right on the boundary – around 40 cm (16"), say – go for the 65 mm (2 9/16") suction cups. More contact surface never hurts; too little does.

1. Clean the surface – clean both the surface and the suction cup with glass cleaner or surgical spirit and let them dry completely. Do not use cleaners containing oil, wax or silicone; they leave a film and stop the cup from gripping.
2. Screw the suction cups to the sign – push the threaded bolt through the mounting point in the back plate from the front and lock it from behind with the supplied nut. Hand-tight is enough, do not overtighten – acrylic is sensitive to too much pressure.
3. Position and press on – hold the sign in place and press all four suction cups firmly and evenly against the surface until the air has escaped.
4. Check the hold – pull down carefully. If one gives way, take it off, clean the surface again and press it back on. Only let go once all four are sitting firmly.

Tip: on cold panes in winter, rubber grips less well. Warm the suction cup briefly in your hand and it will pull noticeably better.

Suction cups are a drill-free solution – not a replacement for fixed wall mounting. They hold reliably as long as the conditions are right. To keep them working for a long time:

• The surface must be smooth, non-porous, clean, dry and grease-free. On dust, grease, moisture or rough surfaces, suction cups do not hold – please choose a different fixing there.
• Choose the right size. The figures "up to 40 cm (16")" and "up to 70 cm (28")" apply to signs from our range when fitted properly on a suitable surface.
• Use all four suction cups and press them on evenly. With fewer points the load is not spread properly.
• Lock the nuts tight – a loose nut works itself free over time and the sign no longer sits securely on the suction cup.
• Grip weakens over time. Temperature swings, sunlight, moisture and dust all take their toll. So check the fit regularly and press the suction cups back on when needed.
• Do not fit above beds, seating, glass tables, aquariums or sensitive electronics. Should a suction cup come loose, nothing must be damaged.
• For permanent mounting we recommend screws and wall plugs or our spacers.

In short: a clean, smooth surface, the right size, all four points, nuts tight, and the occasional re-press. Then it holds.

Which size do I need for my sign?
What matters is the longest edge of your sign. Up to 40 cm (16") take the small suction cups with a 35 mm (1 3/8") diameter, up to 70 cm (28") the large ones with 65 mm (2 9/16"). If your sign sits right on the boundary, take the larger version.

What is included in the set?
4 suction cups with a 5 mm (3/16") thread in the size you choose and 4 matching nuts for screwing them on. You need no tools – hand-tight is enough.

Which surfaces do the suction cups hold on?
On anything that is smooth, non-porous, clean and dry: glass, mirrors, tiles, smoothly painted or sealed surfaces, metal and smooth plastics. Not suitable are woodchip and textured wallpaper, plaster, bare wood, and porous, absorbent or uneven surfaces. If the surface is dusty, greasy or damp they will not grip – then only cleaning or a different fixing will help.

Why is my suction cup not holding?
In the vast majority of cases it comes down to the surface. Clean both the surface and the suction cup with glass cleaner or surgical spirit and let both dry completely – polishes containing oil, wax or silicone leave a film that nothing sticks to. Then press firmly until the air has escaped. If that does not help, the surface is probably too rough or too porous.

How long does a suction cup hold?
There is no blanket answer – temperature swings, sun, moisture and dust all affect the grip. So plan to check the fit regularly and press the suction cups back on now and then. If you want your sign to hang permanently and maintenance-free, fixed wall mounting is the better choice.

How many suction cups do I need per sign?
All four from the set. They spread the load evenly across four points. With fewer suction cups the sign hangs crooked and the load per point rises considerably.

Do they leave marks on the pane?
No. Suction cups work with a vacuum, not with glue. To remove one, carefully lift the edge so air can flow in – the surface stays undamaged.

Do the suction cups fit every sign in your shop?
They have a 5 mm (3/16") thread and are screwed to the existing mounting points on the back plate with the supplied nut. Just make sure you choose the version that matches your sign size.

How long does delivery take?
Delivery takes 6–14 days. If you order the suction cups together with a neon LED sign, they ship together with your order.
