2 m (6.6 ft) Extension Cable for Neon LED Signs – 12V Only | More Reach to the Socket
With the 2 m (6.6 ft) extension cable your 12V neon LED sign gets more reach to the socket. Straight out of the box it is around 3 m (9.8 ft) from the sign to the plug – with the extension that becomes approx. 5 m (16.4 ft). Simply plug it in between the sign and the wireless receiver, done. No tools, no soldering, no multi-socket adapter trailing across the room.
Will my sign fit? – 12V with power adapter only
The extension fits all our 12V neon LED signs with power adapter and remote. You can recognise them by the black power adapter with a Euro plug and the white dimmer box with wireless receiver.
For USB signs there is no extension – they use a different connector. Not sure which version you have? It is listed in your order next to the size, or in the Technical Details of your sign.

Connecting in 3 steps
- Unplug from the mains – take the plug out of the socket first, then work on the cable.
- Disconnect between the sign and the wireless receiver – pull the cable coming from the sign out of the white wireless receiver (dimmer).
- Plug the extension in between – sign cable into the socket of the extension, the plug of the extension into the wireless receiver. Mains plug back in, done.
Tip: place the wireless receiver so that it does not disappear behind metal or inside a closed cabinet – otherwise the signal from the remote will not get through as well.
Important for safe operation – please read
- Only for 12V signs with power adapter. The extension always goes between the sign and the wireless receiver – never on the 230V mains cable.
- Unplug from the mains before reconnecting anything.
- Push the plugs in fully. A plug that is only half in causes flickering.
- Do not kink or crush the cable, or run it under carpets or through doors.
- Use indoors only and away from moisture – just like the sign itself.
In short: unplug, fit it between the sign and the wireless receiver, push it in firmly, lay the cable loosely. Then it glows.
Frequently Asked Questions about the extension cable
Will the extension fit my sign?
Yes, if it is a 12V sign with power adapter and remote . There is no extension for USB signs.
How long is the cable without the extension?
Straight out of the box it is approx. 3 m (9.8 ft) from the sign to the plug: 1.5 m (4.9 ft) of cable on the sign, 15 cm (6 in) wireless receiver and 1.4 m (4.6 ft) power adapter with mains cable.
And with the extension?
Approx. 5 m (16.4 ft) from the sign to the socket.
Where does the extension plug in?
Between the cable on the sign and the white wireless receiver (dimmer). Not on the power adapter and not on the 230V mains cable.
Does the remote still work?
Yes. The wireless receiver and remote stay exactly the same – brightness, timer and flash modes work as usual.
Does the sign get dimmer with the extension?
No, with a 2 m (6.6 ft) extension and a 0.5 mm² cross-section there is no visible difference in brightness.
What colour is the cable?
Transparent – it barely shows on light or dark walls.
How long does delivery take?
Delivery takes 6–14 days. If you order the extension together with a neon LED sign, it ships together with your order.
